The Human Voice Promise

The Human Voice Promise Badge Image
Genuinely performed. Always human.

There is something wonderfully simple about the human voice.

It can reassure, explain, entertain, persuade and tell a story. And behind every genuine performance is a person making hundreds of tiny decisions about pace, emphasis, emotion, timing and tone.

That's why, when you book me to voice your project, the voice you hear is genuinely mine. Not an AI-generated version of me. Not a synthetic recreation. Not a digital clone. Just me, in my studio, behind the microphone, bringing your words to life.

What does The Human Voice Promise mean?

When you work with me, your script is read, interpreted and performed by me.

I don't simply read the words on the page. I think about who I'm speaking to, what you want them to understand or feel, and how the delivery can best support what you're trying to achieve.

Whether I'm narrating an audiobook, guiding someone through an eLearning course, voicing a corporate film or bringing warmth and personality to a commercial, those choices are part of the performance.

Because a good voiceover isn't just about having the right voice. It's about knowing how to use it.

Does that mean I'm anti-AI?

Not at all. Technology is an important part of the modern creative world, and I use digital tools every day in running my studio and my business. But there's a difference between technology supporting a creative process and technology replacing the person you hired to perform it. If you've chosen my voice for your project, I believe you should receive my performance. Simple as that.

My promise to you

When you book me for a voiceover:

  • Your voiceover will be performed by me.

  • Your script will be thoughtfully interpreted, not simply processed.

  • The pacing, tone, emphasis and emotion you hear will be genuine performance choices.

  • I won't replace my performance with an AI-generated or synthetic version of my voice.

  • When you give direction, you're directing me, and I can listen, respond, adapt and try something differently.

  • I won't agree to my voice being cloned or used to train an AI voice model as part of your project unless that use has been specifically discussed and agreed in advance.

I may use technology to support the work around a performance, but the voice behind the microphone remains human.

Because sometimes the smallest pause, change of emphasis or touch of warmth is what makes a line connect.

And that's not something I want to outsource.

Real voice. Real performance. Real connection.

That's The Human Voice Promise.
